About Mathews Dj Matt Mokoena

Was born in the early 80(s) in the Dusty roads of Cork Trust (Bushbuckridge-Mpumalanga) Matriculated there at Dumisani high School. Studied Public Relations at Oxbridge Academy,  Information Technology at CTU, Sound Engineering/Music Production at Rimenyo Media.

Radio:

Due to my involvement in music production and organizing gigs/events in the community I began to fall for the radio that’s when I started recording myself mimicking other Radio Legends, i realized that I have a good voice for radio luckily in 2008 Radio Bushbuckridge needed new and fresh Presenters, I went to the audition and they couldn’t hesitate to hire me same day, I did almost every show there, from graveyard to Afternoon Drive Show, It didn’t end there, I became their content ant technical Producer, Head of Drama and events co-coordinator (2008-2014)

Munghana Lonene fm

With all the hard work and the passion I had for radio, I realized I did enough for Radio Bushbuckridge and it was time for me to get new challenges, i auditioned for Munghana LonemeFM Radio Drama(Mina Himina) i got the gig same they, i became a professional Voice Over Artist, having worked with Media Heads doing Adverts and Jungle for other Community Radio Station. Munghana Lonene fm were looking for a sports producer and a presenter, that’s when I knew that my time has arrived and to achieve that I applied for both posts, I was shortlisted to the Producer post, hence I have a good voice the panel was forced to switch me and interviewed me as a presenter and that’s how I got the job.

Since then I never looked back, I became house hold Sports ancher,  presented a Hip-hop show, soul music, and currently im hosting the afternoon Drive Show(Khoma ndlela) Technical and content Producer.

Off Air

I am a Project Manager Tribe La’Groove running events, promotions, advertising, and artists procurement. Iam an ambassador, a professional program director, producer club Dj and a vocalist, I have a music catalog, with hits such as Teka Ndziku Nyika, Chela Swilo Sweswo, Ahi Phuzeni, Luula, Tsotsi yale Cork. Currently studying Communications.
