Magubane Da FranchiZ Flies to China

The broadcasting world is evolving, new techniques introduced day after day with some countries being slightly advanced than others. The Chinese government in partnership with SABC is running a 4 week long Radio Broadcasting Techniques Training in Dalian, Beijing from 8th July till 11th August 2016. The station is fortunate to be amongst some of the SABC Units who will send a representative. The station’s Specialist Producer – Sound & Imaging Tebogo Magubane will form part of the 2016 delegates.

Tebogo flies out of Johannesburg tomorrow 6th July 2016 at 13h00 to arrive in Dubai at 00h00 from where he will connect to Beijing, arriving on Thursday 7th July 2016 at 16h00. Magubane is back in South Africa on 12th August 2016.

The 2016 Training Course on Radio Broadcasting Techniques for Developing Countries which Tebogo is part of is hosted by CRTV, the only professional state-level company in the field of Radio and TV in China. Since it was established more than 50 years ago, CRTV has conducted more than 1000 items of the design and construction in broadcasting and television domain at home and abroad. With over 100 broadcast television centers; MW, SW, FM and TV transmitting stations, radio & TV studio centers, satellite earth stations that are scattered in more than 60 countries and regions in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

The training course main content is as follows:

  • Introduction of the fundamental realities of the Country and the Broadcast Television Survey, Radio production and broadcasting system, Radio and television network broadcast system, Digital recording technology, Chinese broadcast digital, Broadcast transmitter, Radio transmitting antennas and satellite transmission system, Digital audio broadcasting and digital AM broadcasting technology, Digital radio technology standard DMBT.

As a station, we are proud for an opportunity to send Magubane and hope that he will bring back vast knowledge that he can later plough back to the SABC in particular Munghana Lonene fm.
