Same faces, same voices but different shows with a sound clearer & crispier!!! crispy

This is what 2018/19 line up brings about on Munghana Lonene FM. We are ready to shake things up to bring our listeners a new and refreshed program schedule. Still going with the same faces & voices, the station is implementing strategic changes that are meant to inject much needed energy all round. With 2 new talents joining the team, this new lineup is sure to see the new long awaited dawn befall us. With powerful presenters on board already, we did not have a need to scout for more but rather use the existing ones to strengthen areas of weakness and fill the2 vacant posts

Coupled with a newly acquired transmitter which guarantees a clearer and crispier radio time to audiences in the Makhado Municipality, Vhembe District Municipality, Collins Chabane Municipality, Mopani District Municipality & Musina Municipality. Management believes in the current changes that include the acquisition of a transmitter to recoup lost audience resulting from poor sound quality and signal strength in other areas. We have also heeded listeners’ request via quarterly feedback sessions to increase the mid-day Talk Show, Afrika Wa Vulavula by 30 minutes. A show that will have a new and matured voice of the legendary Sydney Baloyi. Having brought the listeners a compelling breakfast show that evoked their thoughts in a higher level, we felt it was time to have him command some compelling discussions and dish his much researched information to our listeners in a more effective way by means of a Talk show.

His counterpart Brian Rikhotso otherwise popularly known as DJ Brian is moving to the mid-afternoon show, Dzumba Na mina where his musical talent will further flourish, he replaces the equally capable Russel Kwinika popularly known as N’wana N’wa Gee who is moving to the weekdays evening show Gongomela that includes culture, Religious discussions and African religion a topical show he is passionate about. The show was previously presented by DJ Soul Crusher. DJ Brian however, still retains his Saturday musical show, Mindzumba Ya Africa!

The woman’s magazine show Gingirikani is getting a lurch from Lindiwe Makhubela. Best known for her funny bone, LinDiva has proven her worth by working her way from the weekend music shows to the prime mid-morning mid week show. She replaces Khensani Nyango who together with Patrick Mathebula AKA Khalanga will ensure the morning drive otherwise called Phaphama is a pleasure to drive our listeners to work.

The afternoon drive (326 Thwii) is still within the capable hands of Conny Mashimbye aka Connizer & Quinton Baloyi, the Quintonizer to his followers. The rest of the schedule including weekend have very minor scheduling alterations. Look forward to new innovative features that will keep your ear glued to your radio speaker and your imaginations hooked to the creative works of Makomba Ndlela. The content innovations are crafted to engage your thoughts and uplift you to a world of entertainment and information highway.

As a national brand, Munghana Lonene FM needs to bring back the command amongst our listeners by disseminating well researched, well thought and more compelling product to its listeners and with a wider and stronger transmitter which carries 15 KW, we are bound to meet the set audiences objective of 1.2 million and above

“Munghana Lonene FM has reached a milestone to launch a new transmitter with output power of this magnitude. The Station has recently launched new digital innovations as an enabler on air for our listeners and we would like to thank Munghana Lonene FM listeners for moving with times and embracing technology that confirms that they are migrating to be global citizens. Munghana Lonene FM is leading all radio broadcasters in the country on Twitter followers. Our listeners should look forward the planned road shows starting in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng provinces to interact with your much loved DJs. We thank our loyal listeners for sticking with us during trying times and the business community for the continued support, our traditional leadership for giving us direction, religious groupings, political heads and the general public for sticking the dial with Munghana Lonene FM. The roll out plan for universal access will see the new transmitters being rolled out to Burgersfort and other areas identified as lacking within the four provinces of our foot print”, says Munghana Lonene FM Station Manager, Mr Lawrence Ubisi.
